Zakia el Abodi (1983), artist living and working in Amsterdam. Graduated from the Fine Arts department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2009. She makes drawings, photographs, objects, performances and installations. Her work arises from a constant search for images of imaginary worlds, nature and the universe. Returning motifs are circles, spirals, plants and insects. El Abodi's visual references coincide with her interest in energy, spirituality and cosmological patterns.
